And in the ODIn repository there should be the source code for the WIN32K.SYS driver that Knut made.
This hooks into the OS2 kernel in memory. It patches it in memory. It patches the loader that is inside the OS2KRNL.

Народ - после установки ецс 125 со снапом перестал двигаться
курсор мышки, хотя само движение отрабатывается - было такое? В
процессе установки и до снапа все было нормально

строчка run=c:/mmos2/qrymmcd.exe была причиной - =>

|e-co|dev да - почти полностью останавливает движение
_изображения_ мышки. сами координаты меняются, а курсор скачет
лишь время от времени. Но это на одной конкретной тачке

MUGLIB contains the User Profile Management (user accounts) system, used by

Фигня какая-то. Может, речь идёт о разных софтинах? Тестер почтового виджета указывал на необходимость поддержки "Internet Application Integration" что и было сделано.
Internet Application Integration пишет в os2.ini, откуда виджет и читает настройки. Если это разные программы - то какая из них будет входить в будущие ecs?

Due to a bit of stunningly bad design, IBM chose to store object information
in two places - one is in the EAs and the other is in the OS2.INI and OS2SYS.INI files.
If these get out of sync. you will have all sorts of problems.

As the OP only replaced the .INI files and didn't replace the contents of
the x:\Desktop directories, then he deliberately put them out of sync.

You will further infer from this that backing up just the .INIs is pointless.

ROBOSAVE *is* the answer to this problem, as somebody mentioned. I've
never had a problem with any of this since using that.

Just fixing the <WP_DESKTOP> object is not the answer either - yes it'll
fix your desktop, but lots of other things will still be broken.

The driver searches for the disk/directory in this order:

1) checks if %ECSDRIVE% is valid
2) asks \DEV\CD-ROM2$ ((JJS|IBM)CDROM.DMD) which are the CD drive letters, and checks those
3) tries Z: down to A:
4) prompt for drive+subdirectory [Alt+F1] or loop [any other input]

if 2) fails because of no drives or *CDROM.DMD is not loaded, the driver could put a additional text.
