Who is coding for OS/2 today?
Does anybody develop applications?
Igor Pool
2012/11
I have been writing REXX base CGI scripts with DB2 back-end for 15 years.
Over this time I have developed and hosted solutions for many customers
both Government and private companies.
Such web applications include a web site Content Management System, a
project management resourcing tool and small service desk management app.
I have also developed the REXXweb library which is free to download from Hobbes.
I started to write a small book on the topic but just don't have the time.
Would be nice to be able to use either MySQL or SQL server as the back-end
database since these are used by larger organisations and better
integration with these platforms would mean eCS can be considered as the
platform to host the application that accesses those data sources.
Tim Stephen, CIOS
My company provides academic databases for university scholars, students,
and libraries over the web. In total we provide services to approximately
225 universities and all of their faculty. OS/2 (ECS) is our only platform.
We power all of our databases and services with custom software written
in REXX. OS/2 is robust, reliable, and extremely inexpensive.

Yes, I do! (waiting for details)
